- This truck represents more than a logistical innovation: it is a symbol of how we are putting our environmental commitments into action. We know that transportation plays a key role in our footprint, and moving toward solutions such as biogas is part of buildinga coherent, modern, and sustainable aquaculture industry,» said Javier Calvo, CCO at Ventisqueros.
Fewer emissions, same destination. Ventisqueros took a new step in its sustainability strategy byintegrating a biogas truck into its logistics operation for the first time, thanks to a partnershipwith its transport provider, Transportes GLA, and the Swedish brand Scania, a pioneer in sustainable mobility solutions. Starting in mid-November, the company will also incorporateBIOGNL trucks with 0% emissions.
The measure is part of the company’s 2024 Strategic Decarbonization Plan, which includesactions to reduce emissions in scopes 1, 2, and 3—the latter representing 97% of Ventisqueros’ total carbon footprint—and move toward carbon neutrality by 2045.
